Retire an asset

Hi

 Is there a way to retire / delete asset in MultiChain.

You cannot delete an asset after it is created, but if all of the asset's units are sent to the chain's burn address (available in the output from getinfo) and the asset was not created as open for further issuance, then it can effectively be considered retired.

So , if the asset is created as open then there is no way to retire the asset ??
  
Can we change the asset open to close??

If all per-asset issue permissions are revoked by the asset administrator(s), then all per-asset admin permissions are revoked by the admins themselves, then it will no longer be possible for anyone to issue any more units of the asset.
