do not want to destroy asset completely

Thank you, really appreciate your response.My understanding is, burn address is to destroy the asset.But my usecase is to deduct the available units for an asset.

Sending asset units to the burn address destroys those units only, not the entire asset. That is exactly the same as deducting the number of available units.
