No, there is no limit, apart from disk space. Streams are efficiently indexed using on-disk indexes which can expand to millions of items or beyond. Each item is limited to 64 MB (on-chain) or 1 GB (off chain, as in 2.0 alpha 3), if the blockchain parameters are set correctly.
