When using Multichain, is it really possible to handle 1000 transactions per second in a private blockchain network configuration?

Best answer
Yes, under ideal conditions (centralized validation, very few UTXOs in the wallet) you can reach 1000 tps. More likely 500 tps under regular network conditions.

The 1000 tps performance was achieved in a system with these specifications:

Intel Core i7-4770, 4 cores @ 3.4 MHz, 32 GB RAM, Seagate 2 TB 7200 RPM SATA, CentOS 6.4.
