Java client library

Do you recommend a java client library for the JSONRPC API calls? I have been using the CLI, planning to switch to the API soon.

It doesn't matter at all - whatever language you are comfortable with, so long as it can communicate using JSON-RPC. You'll also find that any code out there in any language that can talk to Bitcoin Core is also compatible with MultiChain.
