I did run the following command "multichain-util create chain1" where do i find params.dat file ?

The output of
multichain-util
tells you.

Yes, but there is no folder AppData under c:\users\name\AppData...how else to find the folder AppData
Please post here the output of multichain-util. Or you can open the following directories (depending on which system you're using):
Linux/Mac: ~/.multichain/chain1/
Windows: %APPDATA%\MultiChain\chain1\
