Question

Can I use any folder with the datadir parameter? Specifically "c:\MULTICHAIN\node0\chains\chain0\"  The reason I am asking is that when I try to run the chain with the multichaind in this case, it says "ERROR: Parameter set for blockchain chain0 is not complete."
Do I always have to use %AppData%... ?

And actually, what I want to achieve first of all is to run multiple nodes on one PS. How do I do this?

Yes, you can use any directory. But you need to connect the nodes together, even if they are running on the same computer, in the usual way.
