unable to remove target: Read-only file system---MV command ERROR

Question

Trying to get started with multichain on a server and when i do the MV command i get this Error.

 

inter-device move failed: `multichaind' to `/usr/local/bin/multichaind'; una               ble to remove target: Read-only file system
mv: inter-device move failed: `multichain-cli' to `/usr/local/bin/multichain-cli               '; unable to remove target: Read-only file system
mv: inter-device move failed: `multichain-util' to `/usr/local/bin/multichain-ut               il'; unable to remove target: Read-only file system

It sounds like your Linux system is not allowing /usr/local/bin to be used to install new software. So just copy the executable to whichever directory is appropriate instead – you could also ask your system administrator if you're not sure.
