Recovering createrawexchange output

Question

Can you retrieve the hex response string of the createrawexchange command again after the transaction is created? I mean if for some reason my client is restarted before I can send the encoded offer to the other node I need to retrieve it again to be able to proceed with the transaction.

You can just call it again - until the transaction is completed and transmitted, it doesn't change the state of the node or the blockchain.
